Advanced Manufacturing Institute Wins Award

(Manhattan, Kan. February 3, 2006) – Lea Studer, marketing and communications manager at Kansas State University's Advanced Manufacturing Institute, has received a Silver Addy in the Topeka Advertising Federation's 2006 Addy Awards competition.

The award was for creative work on the "Ingrain Yourself" brochure prepared for K-State's department of grain science and industry.

"We're thrilled that work for our clients has been recognized," said Brad Kramer, director of the Advanced Manufacturing Institute. "Even though we appreciate getting recognized for our work, our utmost satisfaction comes from knowing we've helped our clients achieve their marketing goals."

The Addys are presented at an annual awards banquet to honor the best print, broadcast, collateral and interactive advertising. Recognized advertising professionals from Nevada, South Dakota and Tennessee reviewed 270 entries for the Topeka competition.

The Advanced Manufacturing Institute is a part of K-State's College of Engineering and a Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation Center of Excellence that provides an array of resources to advance technologies, people and companies through collaborative engineering and business partnerships.
