Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:
Develop and design storage tanks for multiple applications using MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Advance Pressure Vessel Design software. Responsibilities include design, management of quality control department, management of safety department, management of environmental program, and managing customer projects. The position requires the ability to manage drafting personnel and communicate with departments company wide.

Responsibilities:

• Design fiberglass and steel tanks
• Prepare, review, and submit environmental reports
• Maintain EPA records
• Oversee quality control audits
• Write performance evaluations
• Schedule and oversee third party inspections
• Assist in EPA, KDHE, and OSHA audits
• Develop and implement procedures and processes
• Assist sales staff with technical issues and specifications

Education/Skills:

• BSME (or equivalent experience)
• 2-5 years experience in FRP and steel tanks design preferred
• AutoCAD experience required
• Microsoft Office experience required
• MathCAD experience preferred
• Experience working with governmental agencies a plus
• Familiarity with building codes ASCE, IBC, UBC, and Boca a plus
