Challenge:

Rex Materials Group, a provider of heat containment products for a variety of plastic and metal handling applications, wanted to develop a new wire bender that would combine the work of two machines and increase product and part quality.

 

Solution:

AMI designed and developed a new wire bender that is operated by a touch screen and is capable of remembering specific recipes for part numbers. The machine helped reduce labor costs, improve part quality and decrease repetitive motions. The machine also helped reduce the training time from six weeks to one day, and set up takes less than five minutes.
