Challenge:

To augment its seat belt education program, the Kansas Highway Patrol wanted to purchase another Seat Belt Convincer, a machine that simulates a vehicle collision at five miles per hour. Unfortunately, the manufacturer was no longer in business.

Solution:

AMI reviewed the existing Seat Belt Convincer design, upgraded the controls and made a few other improvements to make it more user-friendly. The Kansas Highway Patrol uses the Convincer for educational programs across the state of Kansas.

AMI has built Seat Belt Convincers for several other states and organizations, expanding its reach overseas to a distributor in the Pacific Rim and Middle East.
